Play Revolution Design Group
Aata Aata Horaata (Play Play Revolution) is a system complex and dynamic ecosystem, driven by the need for after-school safe havens for play and learning for children from urban-poor communities.
Field-research was carried out, using participatory design methods that included mapping tools and disposable cameras as cultural probes, to elicit candid conversations about the world the children inhabit.
The design of the space incorporates the core ideas of: Craft, safe spaces, community cooperatives, alternative currencies, and technology as an empowering and enabling agent.
The design of Aata Aata Horaata builds social interaction and community through alternative currencies, personal portable play-pods and an e-portal that facilitates responsible social and economic networks.
